TRY AGAIN is an ex working Channel Island Pilot Cutter, originally constructed circa 1870, in her lifetime has been completely rebuilt two/three times in her long history. MCA registration 1907. Newspaper articles of her major rebuild in 1953.
Her rig was re-designed from a Gaff Cutter to a Bermudan Cutter by Mssrs Camper and Nicholson. Her accommodation was refashioned with the edition of a raised dog house coach roof aft - giving good standing headroom below at the nav station and the galley.
She suffered a freak accidental fire 2007, which resulted in having to be re-engine, re wired, etc. The vessel herself got away relatively unscathed. ( smoke damaged cabin.
She has spent many years being cruised around the East Coast, with her long term owners and their respective families.
She has been continually loved, maintained and sailed. Found to be in good order, Out of the water for the Winter, May 2024 she has been refitted, mast re-stepped and relaunched, rigged, sail bent on and Ready to Go.
