Mechanical & Electrical Systems
Located under the companionway steps is the offset Yanmar 2GM20 marine diesel engine fitted new in approximately 2005. Sea water cooled. Approximately 45 litre fuel tank. Single lever controls. Twin cylinder. 20hp. Shaft drive to a folding Brutons auto prop.
12 volt domestic battery. 12 volt engine start battery. Alternator charging.
Construction
Built in 1939 by Southampton Launch and Boat Building Company to a design of T Harrison Built. Carvel wood construction of mostly pitch pine, with some replaced with larch. Steamed oak frames with copper fastenings. Swept teak laid decks with a plywood sub deck.. Transom hung rudder with a tiller. Long keel with an iron ballast. Last surveyed in 2018 with a copy available.
Masthead rigged Bermudan sloop. Keel stepped Douglas fir mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging (2006). Terylene running rigging. Two sheet winches. Hanked-on headsails. Slab reefing mainsail system. Mainsail (2011). Genoa & Jib.
