Description

ABU – GBR 32 was designed and built by Johan Anker and his yard in 1931 for his own personal use. In her early life ABU won Gold Cup twice and the One Ton Cup.

In 2003 she was the subject of a long restoration by her then owner, and previous president of the 6 Metre Class, Tim Street. In ABU’s current ownership, since 2011, she has enjoyed an ongoing maintenance schedule keeping her in both excellent condition but also ensuring that she is in up to date race trim. With the help from The Elephant Boat Yard, Robbe and Berking, and design input from Ian Howlett, ABU is presented in ready to race condition.

ABU comes complete with all the equipment you would expect to see from a well campaigned 6 Metre; travel and dock covers, custom built yard/shipping cradle which fits into a 40ft container and much more.

Currently lying afloat in Cowes and available to view at short notice.
