'Soonah' is a wooden, racing dayboat of the Loch Long One Design class, and is sail no. 47. She was built in 1959 by Alexander Robertson & Co. of Sandbank, on the southern shore of the Holy Loch. Robertson built boats to a very high standard, and 'Soonah' is no exception, with a beautiful varnished mahogany hull. The current owner bought her in Scotland in 1990 and brought her down to Aldeburgh, where she is now. As confirmed with Jeremy Rogers Ltd, Damsel is hull number 122, sail number 220. She was launched in 1970 and subsequently sold to a Mr Radford from Tonbridge. In the mid to late 70’s she was sold to a Mr J Wallhead who owned her up until 2015. Mr Wallhead's initials and ‘77 are written on the back of the chain locker cover, possibly a vague indication of when she might have been purchased.

A beautifully restored and maintained East Anglia Mk2 yacht, 'Liffin' has been lovingly looked after by the current owner, Topsides were re-painted in 2020 with 4 coats of Epifanes Pearl Grey, and all the brightwork and cabin sides, which is mostly aframosia, re-varnished.
