‘Jenny’ is a charming and increasingly rare example of a 1950s British launch, built by C. J. Broom & Sons at the company’s Brundall yard on the Norfolk Broads. Steam Tug £4,000
Steam Tug which has been in our family since the 70's.
She has been featured in the Steam Boat Assoc. publication "The Funnel"a number of times. Engine dates from before 1900 and had Stephenson linkage added at later stage for forward and reverse. Selling due to lack of time and other projects, it would be great to get her back on the water. The boiler and PRV would need certification for insurance and it would be best to bring a trailer as the one that she is on dates from when we first got her.

A well-built hull in larch planking on oak frames, copper-fastened. Built on Isle of Lewis late 1990s, used for one season but then in out of water storage due to health of owner-builder. Kennary was built by Archie Tyrrel who was a nephew of the famous Stewarts of Grimsay boatbuilding family. Featured in 'Waypoints' by Ian Stephen (Adlard Coles/Bloomsbury).
Kennary was built as a pocket yacht, with a classic engine installation, internal cast lead ballast and a standing-lug rig.
