Stunning, sought after classic Tumlare yacht for sale: "Schnapps" (ex. “Tinkerbelle”).
A fine example of the classic Knud Reimers design, "Schnapps", sail No 12, launched as "Tinkerbelle" in around 1938 is now for sale for the best of reasons: we need a bigger boat!
The Tumlare class has a slim, long keel-hull with distinctive canoe stern and stern hung rudder. This particular boat has been moored on Windermere for at least the last 8 years and has been stored indoors over winter, although in her long past has been sailed on the south coast. Thi...

Fiddle is one of the last remaining Gravesend Bawleys. Built in 1860, she fished for nearly 100 years before being converted to a comfortable cruising yacht in the 1960’s.
It is believed that Fiddle was constructed at G Bauckhams yard on the site of the old Coal Wharf, Gravesend, probably by a legendary local shipwright , George Waters, some time in the late 1850’s or early 1860’s. Several clinker Bawleys of the same size were constructed in Gravesend at this time including Lilian, Highland Mary and Charlotte. All of these, including Fiddle are well referenced in numerous ...

The Crusader is a very pretty, solid boat which sails beautifully.
CRUSADER'S hull is built by the glued-seam strip-planked method and coated in epoxy.
We purchased this boat in 2020. Following results of a full survey, we replaced the deck and chain plates along with other repairs. We also replaced the head sail.
We love the boat but only ever intended to keep her for an adventure. Now back to reality we are too busy to make the most of her.
The Crusader has been well looked after over the years....

Fairwind is a Harrison Butler Bogle class built in Barton on Humber in 1935. The design was drawn up in 1933 by Dr Harrison Butler for the Little Ship Club. Fairwind is one of 6 boats built to this design and has sailed to Russia and the Baltic, the Friesian Islands, and the South and East coasts of the UK. Harrison Butler was famed for using the Metacentric Principal of hull balance, and as a result Fairwind is a delight to sail, and holds her canvas well, yet is still light on the helm.
Her sister ship is Tradewind, which was sailed across the Atlantic and is now kept in America.
Fairwind i...

Mairi Bahan was designed as 26-foot gaff rigged day racer by (Uncle Rouse) H. S Rouse, Vice-Commodore of the Hong Kong Yacht Club and a yacht designer. Converted to Bermudan in the 60s. Around six of his yachts are thought to have survived into the second Millennium although this appears to be the only surviving W Class. The most famous of these is the Tai-Mo-Shan which has an illustrious sailing history but best known now ...
